What programs do you offer?
At Country Day Nursery School, we offer two mixed-age groups, 0-24 months and 24+ months , where children stay with their teachers and cohort of friends for several years, ensuring strong relationships and continuity of care. Our curriculum includes a balance of unstructured free exploration, both indoors and out, and teacher-directed learning activities, ensuring a well-rounded experience for every child. We use Creative Curriculum and High Scope for both our Curriculum and our Formative Assessments, meeting NC Division of Child Development and Early Education standards.
What are your operating days/hours?
Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM. We provide flexible arrival and departure times to accommodate the needs of our families, ensuring that your child receives the best care possible. There is an option for attending 2 or 3 full days instead of 5 at a reduced tuition rate. Part-time options are only available for the older 24+months age group. We feel that infants and young todders transition better when their days are consistent. We do not have a half-day option.
How do you ensure child safety?
We prioritize child safety by implementing strict security measures, including secure entry points, background checks for all staff and household members, cameras, and regular training and safety drills. Our trained staff is dedicated to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
What is your enrollment process?
The enrollment process at Country Day Preschool involves, scheduling a tour and meeting with our staff to discuss your child’s needs, submitting a Child Care Agreement and $75 enrollment fee, and submitting additional enrollment forms which includes up-to-date immunization records. We aim to make this process as smooth and welcoming as possible for families. Step one is to schedule a tour.
Do you offer meals and snacks?
Yes, we provide nutritious meals and snacks as part of our daily program which includes Breakfast, Lunch and an afternoon Snack. Our menus follow the USDA CACFP Child Meal Pattern which is designed to meet the dietary needs of children, ensuring they receive balanced nutrition throughout the day. We accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions to promote health and well-being.
